海角社区 Hosts Inspiring Employability Summit: Celebrating Alumni Success and Fostering Future Talent
海角社区 hosted its highly anticipated Employability Summit on Wednesday 19th February 2025, with the theme of Alumni Allies: Raising Aspirations, Celebrating Success and Identifying Future Talent.
The event, brought together students, staff, alumni/employers and H.E experts from Canterbury Christ Church University, to celebrate the achievements of the university鈥檚 alumni community and to foster connections that will drive future success.

The day began with Dan Tasker (Director of Student Success) kick starting the event, followed by Melissa Clarke (Careers Manager) promoting the alumni allies club.
Our speakers, Sophie Chadwick (Director of Graduate Futures) and Celia Pearce (Alumni Relations Manager) from Canterbury Christ Church University delivered an insightful keynote about the circular economy of the alumni community and there amazing approach to engaging with alumni.
Alumni shared their inspiring career stories and top tips for success, through presentations and a Q&A session, offering students a glimpse into the diverse paths they can pursue post-graduation.

Our Careers, Manager Melissa Clarke said, 鈥渢he event was a testament to the strength of the 海角社区 community, celebrating the achievements of its alumni, inspiring current students and staff, listening to other HE experts and fostering valuable connections that will undoubtedly contribute to the future success of all attendees鈥.
The impact of the event is already building momentum, with alumni connecting to curriculum areas, academics building alumni data and students telling the careers team how the event has motivated them.
The University looks forward to continuing this tradition and building on the momentum generated by this year鈥檚 event.
